Before joining Hissho Sushi in 2023, Sui Hlei Par was a full-time college student working as a CNA at a local nursing home, an experience that deepened her appreciation for care, connection, and community. But her passion for sushi began years earlier, helping her brother with his Hissho franchise while she was still in high school. It was there she discovered a love for the craft, the customer interactions, and the precision behind every roll.<\/p>

Before joining Hissho, I dedicated myself to my studies as a full-time college student while simultaneously working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at a local nursing home. This experience honed my interpersonal skills and instilled in me a deep appreciation for community and care.<\/p>

In 2023, I embarked on an exciting new chapter as a sushi franchise owner, stepping into the world of Hissho Sushi in Grand Rapids, Michigan. What motivated you to become a Hissho Sushi franchisee and a sushi chef?<\/h4>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In 2017 or 2018, my brother was a Hissho Sushi franchise. During that time, I was a high school student and helped him every weekend. He taught me how to roll sushi and introduced me to various techniques. That experience made me realize how much I loved making sushi and interacting with customers. It motivated me to become a franchisee, especially with Hissho Sushi.<\/p>

I have always admired the artistry and precision involved in sushi-making.
